My teaching philosophy is that you must have fun. If studying guitar feels like a chore, this won't work. I like to meet students where they are, both overall (what's the music you love!) and how they feel week to week. I've played guitar since I was 14, and I love the instrument not only because it rocks, but also because of its rich history and its standing as an art object. I write guitar-focused journalism for magazines like Premier Guitar & Fretboard Journal.

My teaching style is learning-centered, interactive and supportive. I strive to create an inclusive environment for all students feel confortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and actively engaging in the learning process, drawing on my training in instructional techniques and experience as a teacher assistant. I use clear explanations, practical examples and collaborative activities to make learning relevant and accesible.
