I have been teaching piano lessons for 13 years now. I teach all levels and ages. I have been playing the piano since I was 8 years old. I use the Faber and Alfred books, as well as original pieces.. Not only do I teach how to play the piano, but I incorporate composer analysis and orchestra layout and give information about the different instruments of the orchestra, from different sources. I teach all levels and ages.
"Stephanie has an upper medium level piano playing. She incorporates her lessons with composer analysis and orchestra design.

I am a professional saxophonist, recorder player, improviser, composer, and dedicated educator from Slovakia (based in NYC) with a global performance background since the age of ten and more than a decade of teaching experience. My education includes a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Early Music (Florence, Leipzig) and Jazz Saxophone (Prague). This dual training in classical/early music and jazz sets me apart, giving me the ability to guide students across genres — from baroque to bebop and beyond. As a performer, I've played on prestigious stages across the globe in a wide range of settings, from early music ensembles to jazz groups, big bands, pop, art-rock, world music and contemporary projects, and I bring that versatility into my teaching. I am passionate about music’s power to inspire creativity, build confidence, and connect people across cultures. Having worked extensively with youth, children, and adults, I adapt my approach to each student’s age, background, and ambitions. Multilingual and internationally experienced, I bring openness, curiosity, and professionalism to every lesson. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students, helping them to unlock their unique musical voice while cultivating skills that last a lifetime.
"Taking lessons with Lenka has completely changed the way I think about music. She is incredibly patient, encouraging, and really knows how to bring out your unique voice and creativity. Every lesson feels inspiring and fun. I’ve grown so much as both a musician and a person! Highly recommended!
