About your acting coach
Donald Rizzo is a Los Angeles-based actor & theatre educator, from New York. Film credits include Let Go opposite Kevin Hart & Choke opposite Sam Rockwell. Stage credits include Tape & The Love of Make Believe (La Jolla Playhouse & R.E.D.C.A.T.). Donald is graduate of UCLA; Atlantic Theater Company’s 2 year acting conservatory; studied improv at the Groundlings; is currently a Candidate for the MFA in Television,Film,&Theatre: Acting, at CSULA, where he teaches Acting to undergraduate students.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWho Are YOU? What do you want? How are you going to get it?
After assessing what you want to accomplish I can assign you an audition scene or monologue (or you can bring one) and we will construct a game plan for you to rehearse and perform.
Lesson 2-3Now that you’ve memorize and analyzed your first scene or monologue, how do you play it over and over while making it seem like it’s happening for the first time? Keeping it fresh and authentic is key.
Lesson 4-10After feeling performance ready with your first scene or monologue, can you apply the same set of tools to more work? Can we explore different genres and mediums?
Lesson 11+Can you perform multiple monologues back to back and/or can we create a reel with some of your on-camera audition scenes?
