Beginner training plan
Your first lessonTypically the first session with a beginner will be a fun introduction to the game of baseball, while also evaluating the player to gage their strengths and weaknesses , all while sharing my past experiences and listening to them on what they want to accomplish.
Lesson 11+Baseball, as slow paced as it may seem in hindsight, is a very fast sport. My focus and main objective as a coach is to prepare and attempt make the game slower for the player through repetition and preparation. Lessons 10+ will be all about mastering and rounding out the ball player you want to become.
Lesson 4-10After that confidence and trust is developed we can move on to the other aspects of the game, while still keeping the interest of the player as we shape the rest of the game.
Lesson 2-3For the second and third practice I would like to focus on their favorite aspect of the game, whether it be hitting, fielding, throwing and then building up a confidence through a series of drills to show off their beloved skill. I feel like it builds a certain level of rapport and trust.
