If you’re a pitcher, Shreyas is your guy. The kid knows the game inside out and will teach you all the little things in order to be successful. Helped my son throw a no hitter in his 11u game!

Shreyas is easygoing, but enforces discipline in his coaching. He will make sure you thoroughly understand what he is trying to say before moving on. He helped me so much in increasing my velo!

Shreyas really knows his stuff. He taught me how to perfect my slider and get hitters to chase it on an 0-2 count, and land it for a strike in earlier counts.

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonI will first let the kid pitch, and then analyze the kid and see what we need to work on the most. I will build a program for the kid, starting with how to warm up correctly using bands. We will start with the major things, then focus on fine tuning.

Lesson 11+By week 11, we will just be fine tuning and focusing on the little things. Things like where to locate pitches, and simulating game-like environments will be key in lessons from here on out.

Lesson 4-10A beginner can expect the lessons to increase in pace. At week 6, I will have the kid pitch again and see how many of the issues he’s improved upon. From weeks 6-10, I will continue to diagnose any major issues I see.

How it works

Lesson 2-3We will start focusing on drills focusing on major issues we need to fix. This could be arm angle, planting landing foot properly, gripping the ball correctly. These are all major things, and we will take it slow to build a correct foundation. The last thing we would want is to rush a beginner and build an improper foundation.

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonSame as a beginner, I will first have the kid pitch how they normally do currently and analyze them. From there, I will create a plan.

Lesson 11+We will work on fine tuning, and not only physical fine tuning, but also mental fine tuning. As an advanced baseball player, you know that baseball is just as much as a mental sport as it is physical. We will cover how to stay mentally tough in a sport like this.

Lesson 4-10On lesson 7, I will again have the kid pitch in front of me. This will show me how much progress he has made, and what we still need to work on. From lessons 8-10, we will cover the things the kid still needs to work on.

Lesson 2-3I will let the kid know what we are going to work on moving forward. I will implement a program to ensure all the needs are met. Again, I will start by correctly teaching how to warm up your arm, and showcasing a couple of drills.

Youth players

Working with kidsI am very patient with them, as they are just kids. I will focus on teaching them the skill of throwing strikes, as that’s all you need when you are just a kid.

Working with teenagersMy lessons will be little more fast paced, but I will still make sure the teenager is grasping everything I teach them. The lessons will be more a little more advanced, focusing on pitch location and increasing velocity.
