With advanced players, I treat the first lesson like a diagnostic session—high-level, collaborative, and focused.
I start by asking key questions: What’s working? What’s not? Where’s your game under pressure? We’ll review recent scores, missed shots, and what patterns are holding you back from your next breakthrough—whether that’s scratch, low single digits, or tour prep.
From there, I watch your swing in motion—usually from multiple angles—and break it down using video feedback and ball flight data (if available). We’ll zero in on small adjustments that deliver big results: tempo, transition, sequencing, face control, and shot shaping.
This isn’t a beginner tune-up. It’s about precision, performance, and elevating your strengths while eliminating costly mistakes. I’m here to sharpen your edge, not reinvent your swing.
Lesson 11 and beyond is about chasing excellence, not just improvement.
At this stage, your swing is sound. Your fundamentals are elite. Now, we go after peak performance: lowering your tournament scoring average, sharpening decision-making under fire, and owning every part of your game—from tee box to tap-in.
Here’s what we’re working on now:
• Pressure Play: Reps and routines that simulate competition—tight lies, must-make putts, windy conditions, final-hole nerves.
• Tournament Strategy: We develop full prep plans—practice rounds, mental maps, scoring strategies, and post-round reviews.
• Advanced Metrics: Strokes Gained analysis, dispersion patterns, shot tendency mapping. This isn’t guesswork—it’s data-driven refinement.
• Custom Skill Blocks: We’ll build mini training phases focused on the parts of your game holding you back—whether that’s lag putting, distance control, or bunker conversion.
• On-Course Coaching: Playing lessons focused on scoring, not just swinging. We coach every shot, every choice, every mindset.
At this point, I’m not just your coach—I’m your strategist, analyst, and mindset mirror. You’re not learning to play golf anymore. You’re learning to own your game like a professional.
Lessons 4–10 are where we get surgical.
Now that your baseline is established, we shift to mastery-level refinement. This means:
• Ball Flight Mastery: Shaping fades, draws, stingers, and high/low trajectories on command.
• Scoring Zones: Dialing in wedges, approach shots, and green-side shots with precision. We break down carry vs. rollout, spin control, and trajectory choice.
• Course Management: You’ll learn how to play smarter—choosing lines, adjusting for wind, and avoiding mental traps that cost strokes.
• Mental Game Conditioning: I’ll coach you on pre-shot routines, focus resets, pressure management, and in-round adaptability.
• Performance Tracking: We’ll assess trends in GIR, scrambling, putts per round, and develop game plans to attack your weak spots.
Every lesson is strategic. We’re not just cleaning up mechanics—we’re training you to become a complete player who knows their numbers, knows their swing, and knows how to win. Whether you’re playing club championships, amateur events, or chasing a plus handicap, these lessons are built for results.
Lessons 2 and 3 are all about identifying the keystone tweaks that unlock consistency and control.
By this point, I’ve seen how you move and strike the ball. Now we dig into refinement: tightening your swing path, dialing in your attack angle, and sharpening shot shape control. I’ll design drills tailored to your tendencies—whether that’s flattening your transition, squaring the clubface earlier, or cleaning up impact.
If you’re a tournament player or chasing scratch, we also start layering in situational work: trouble shots, pressure routines, and tempo management under stress. I track your ball flight patterns, decision-making, and short game tendencies so we can isolate and fix what’s costing you strokes.
You’re not here for fluff—you want elite results. These lessons set the stage for just that.
