Beginner training plan

Your first lessonObjective: Introduce basic golf swing and familiarity with clubs. Warm-up: 5 minutes of light stretching (torso twists, arm swings). Grip and posture: Teach interlocking grip and proper stance (10 minutes). Swing basics: Practice half-swings with a 7-iron, focusing on takeaway and impact (15 minutes). Chipping introduction: Short chip shots to understand clubface control (10 minutes). Cool-down: 5 minutes of stretching and review. Focus: Comfort with grip, stance, and basic swing motion.

Lesson 11+Objective: Enhance swing power, course management, and specialty shots. Warm-up: 5 minutes of dynamic drills (medicine ball twists, sprints) and stretches. Driver optimization: Focus on launch angle and spin for distance (15 minutes). Specialty shots: Practice fades, draws, and low punches (15 minutes). Course management: Simulate on-course scenarios, choosing clubs and strategies (15 minutes). Cool-down: 5 minutes of stretching and strategy review. Focus: Power, shot shaping, and strategic play.

Lesson 4-10Objective: Refine swing mechanics, introduce driver, and improve short game. Living steps from the course, I honed my skills daily, achieving a 12 handicap at 15 on the challenging South Course. As a freshman, I earned a spot on my high school varsity golf team and later served as captain, benefiting from top-tier lessons with the head golf pro. My deep understanding of swing mechanics, combined with a keen eye for spotting and correcting errors, allows me to guide golfers of all levels.
