About your golf coach

I have been playing golf since I was 19. I fell in love with the game when a friend brought me to a driving range and started hitting balls -- it was love at first sight. I started borrowing clubs from my friend and hitting the range whenever I could. After developing my skills, it was not long before I started playing tournaments. Like everyone does, I started with the high handicap groups and over time and with lots of practice, I earned my way into the low handicap group. For me, golf is 90% mental and 10% skills. My practice places heavy emphasis specifically on short-game because I feel this is where a golfer can minimize a lot of strokes, more than driving. Drive for show, putt for dough, as they say! In addition to giving professional lessons, I have three kids, all of whom I taught how to play golf. My oldest was a high school golfer, joined the SCPGA Junior Tour, and still playing.
