Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIntroduction to golf basics: safety, course etiquette, and equipment overview.
• Grip, stance, posture, and alignment fundamentals.
• Short game introduction: putting and chipping drills to build confidence.
• Keep it fun and focused on making solid contact, not distance.
Lesson 11+• Advanced swing refinement and introduction to specialty shots (fade, draw).
• Course management skills: reading lies, aiming strategies, and club selection.
• Consistency drills: fairway accuracy, up-and-down challenges, and pressure putting.
• Focus on mental game, confidence building, and setting personal golf goals.
• Encourage independent practice between lessons to accelerate progress.
Lesson 4-10• Progress to full-swing mechanics with mid and long irons.
• Introduce woods/hybrids and basic tee shots.
• Develop short game: pitching, bunker shots, and chip-and-run drills.
• On-course practice (or simulated play): etiquette, shot selection, pace of play.
