Today we did an on course lesson with Jamal at Granada and it was such a great experience. Getting to learn on site allowed for so many more practical adjustments to make real improvement on our game. He was patient and took on the burden of monitoring pace of play so we could just focus on our swings. Can’t wait to do it again!

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonIntroduce golf on the putting green. Learning basics of putting and mentality for playing golf. Define clear goal, practice schedule, and lesson plan.

Lesson 11+Play more golf! As a beginner, if you’ve made it this far, you probably are really enjoying the game and want to see how good you can get. Play more, train more. Lesson plans become higher tailored to the individual for optimal development.

Lesson 4-10Full swing and golf course play. By lesson 5 you will have played the course and be left knowing how to play golf. Lessons 6-10 continue to develop skills required for more effective play.

Lesson 2-3Introduce chipping and pitching (getting the ball onto the putting surface). Continue to develop understanding of golf strategy. Set dates for golf course play, we are almost there!

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonMeet to discuss reason for coming to take a lesson. Make an assessment of area of concern. Provide instruction and educate student about the fundamentals relating to the instruction and errors. Create a lesson plan for follow up training and adjustments

Lesson 11+Continue to monitor and develop skills from lessons 1-3 on golf course and practice range. Confirm that the “feel is real” and maintain golf course functionality

Lesson 4-10By this point, main area of concern is fully addressed and now we move to further development and growth. Focus on becoming familiar with the adjustments made in lessons 1-3 and more to golf course to confirm adjustments are taking place on course as well as facilities.

Lesson 2-3Monitor changes and assess efficacy of drills and practice. Continue addressing main area of concern.

Youth players

Working with kidsI train major gross motor movement to facilitate development of a well rounded physical body. Juniors must develop well rounded dexterity and motor control to be able to complete the physical task of a golf swing. Throwing balls, basic plyometrics, flexibility, and mindfulness take center stage for juniors and are integral to the development of young golfers

Working with teenagersSame as working with kids, focus more on technical aspects of the swing, course management, diet and exercise, and life balance with school and social endeavors.
