I don't teach on golf on practice range. It's a waste of time because a mat or a level fluffy lie on a golf range is not what you will encounter on golf course. Chipping. Pitching, putting and 100 yards in will determine your practice needs- this is where you score lower or continie to fail.I have seen thousands of swings being a caddy and golf coach and one thing for sure is golf is missing agreed upon universal fundamentals. The PGA has failed for 30 yrs+ with novice players getting worse in 2025. I teach the Jim Venetos universal golf swing concept for newcomers or someone who can manage timing, sequence and body manipulation (see the attached vid in profile) it works for beginners to scratch golfers especially great for seniors. Commitment to golf instruction extends well beyond the range. I have a professional caddie background that enhances golf management skills in a fun way to score well on any course. Utilizing Jim Venetos' teaching methods, the focus is on simplicity, injury prevention, and playing from a closed, weight forward, setup position (different from stack and tilt). I practice and play rounds with two clubs a 3 wood and pitching wedge 48 degree what I learned over the years is how these levers works, club face awareness - what my misses tell me and stillness, strong core and maintaining a position setup will make you more consistent. If you play the appropriate tee boxes and have a 150-240 yd drive you can lower your scores. This doesn't mean hit more dull shots on a golf range means playing more golf and practicing more chips, pitches, putts and 100 yard shots in.
