Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is chip, pitch, maybe 3/4 swing with the proper setup. You will quickly see if you understand club face impact.Keeping golf extremely simple. It starts from a setup position, loading lead foot 🦶 with 70% of weight and a pivot into a closed position. That's it..We don't talk about nonsense movements i.e. weight shift, wrist cock nonsense, and all the other hard timing PGA instruction that is very hard and time consuming for most. I recommend you check some or ALL of Jim Venetos videos out on YouTube. My personality and tone is just like Jim's. * Option If you want to join Jim Venetos academy great! It's all online and then use me as support and review.** I get no kickbacks or sponsorship from Jim Venetos. I don't do range testing. Range balls are terrible in construction, waste of money that could be used on greens fees, the range is not set up for all the obstacles you will be challenged with on the golf course. * The actual field you should be practicing on not a range.
Lesson 11+You should not need 11 lessons with any coach or golf instructor. If you want more golf caddie instruction we can do that.
Lesson 4-10Get into putting and the set7up for putting which is using the trail arm properly. Lead arm and trail arm only work one way on a human body. Might be time for a 9 hole par three or par 4 where we take 2 clubs. That's it.
Lesson 2-3Your back for more! Great. Hopefully practicing pitches/wedges and short no more than half swings for at least 3 weeks. Now let's go to the golf course. The cost of greens fees will be yours- I will walk or ride 9 holes with you. We will be using three clubs wedge, putter and club that you hit 150 yards. I recommend seven springs little course very small gold course under. On the course focus on setup again, were you able to figure out your misses- can you remain still on lead leg 70% weight in a closed pivot position. Hopefully you videoed yourself 5min continuous-face on where I can review the misses. We can skip more short shorts, chips and pitches with wedge or 9iron (this needs to be nailed down) Focus on the other game on the ground. Putting. Which is a separate position and a game on the ground- rolling golf ball.. Open stance trail with the dominant hand Not the lead lead arm/hand in the golf swing. Remember the golf ball range is not the same as an actual course. The more you put yourself in different situations with this swing - uphills, downhill, rough, fairway bunker, thick rough, poor lies and more the confidence and correcting mistakes works. * Vs a range mat and a perfect lie.
