Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe’ll be hitting balls at the range! Every club has a different feel and I want to start with the basics. How are you connecting with the ball? How strong is your swing? Once we have these things down we’re ready for the course!
Lesson 11+On the course! We’re taking everything you’ve learned on different courses around the area until you feel you’re ready to move on without me!
Lesson 4-10Skill development! Most likely this will be at Mulligan’s Island where they have short par three holes to practice on. We’re going to hone in on sand traps, getting a good feel for our wedges, and of course putting! I’ll have some targets ready for chipping as well. After that we’ll start playing 9 holes once a week and I’m confident that you’ll be ready!
Lesson 2-3Lesson 2 will still be at the range but if there’s significant progress we’ll be going to our first course to play a few holes. Short game is everything so we’ll mostly focus putting and chipping on the practice green.
Youth players
Working with kidsSlow and steady! We’ll start with the basics. I’ll be highlighting the different motions of a perfect swing, making great contact with the ball, and just having a lot of fun!
