Beginner training plan

Your first lessonFirst lesson is all about getting comfortable with the game and the fundamentals - how to grip the club, basic stance and posture, and how to make solid contact with the ball. An understanding of core movements and what to practice on before the next session.

Lesson 11+Once you are comfortable with basic shots, the focus will be on consistency and real life situations. We’ll work on improving scores, understanding how to manage the course, and making golf enjoyable.

Lesson 4-10These lessons we will add in other skills one should have in the game of golf - short game. Here we’ll go over chipping, putting, and sand practice. Additionally, we’ll learn the basic rules, course etiquette and simple strategy of the game to help you prepare to play on a real course.

Lesson 2-3Development and gaining confidence with your swing. We’ll review the basics and we will start building you swing. This is where we will focus on contact, balance and consistency. There will be progress on ball flight and you will build more confidence on stepping up to the ball each time.

Youth players

Working with kidsI’ve had the opportunity to work with children ages 6 to 18 through various summer camp programs and golf academies, which have taught me how to adapt my lessons to suit different learning styles and attention spans. I focus on creating a fun, encouraging environment where kids feel supported and excited to learn. Patience, clear communication, and positive reinforcement are at the core of my teaching style. Every lesson begins with the fundamentals and builds gradually, always at a pace that’s comfortable for each child. My goal is to make sure they not only improve their skills but also develop a genuine love for the game.

Working with teenagersI enjoy working with teenagers and helping them develop both skill and confidence on the course. My approach is all about building a strong foundation in the fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging, goal-oriented, and supportive. I understand that every teen learns differently, so I adapt my coaching style to fit their personality, pace, and experience level. Whether they’re brand new to golf or looking to sharpen specific parts of their game, I focus on creating a positive, motivating environment that encourages steady improvement and a real connection to the sport

What you need to bringPlease bring your own golf clubs. Golf glove is highly recommended and comfortable shoes - it doesn’t need to be golf shoes, but it is recommended to wear if you have them.

What I can bringIt is typical for students to bring their own clubs, but if you do need clubs to use, I have an extra set of adult right-handed clubs. Range work: I have alignment sticks, speed sticks, and tees. Chipping and putting: bag of balls, towel, tees

With over 25 years of experience in the game, golf has been a lifelong passion that has taken me from junior competitions to D1 collegiate golf and beyond. I played for Oregon State University and did not miss a tournament. Additionally, I have competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateurs twice (‘08, ‘09) and the U.S. Women's Amateurs twice (‘12, ‘14). My PR is 64 back in high school. After college, I competed professionally on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, where I secured a tournament win at -11. While in Arizona, I also found joy in teaching, working with kids ages 6 to 12 at the TopGolf Summer Academy, helping them develop strong fundamentals and a love for the game. I also have experience going to Q-School and made it to Stage 2 my first year. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence and a strong foundation or an experienced player looking to lower your scores, I offer tailored lessons based on your goals.
