Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI focus on making the student feel safe, seen, and excited. I learn who they are, what draws them to music, and what their goals are — even if they don’t fully know yet. Then we walk through the basics slowly and clearly: posture, how to hold the instrument, how to relax the hands, and how to produce their first clean notes. By the end of the first lesson, they will play something simple but real, so they leave feeling proud and believing, “I can do this.
Lesson 11+Past lesson ten, the student has a solid foundation and we begin shaping their musical identity. I tailor lessons to their strengths, tastes, and long-term goals. We explore more expressive playing, beginner-intermediate songs, and new techniques that deepen their sound. At this stage, students start discovering what kind of musician they want to become — and I guide them with structure, clarity, and patience. The training becomes personal, meaningful, and motivating.
Lesson 4-10This is where real momentum happens. The student starts connecting the dots: technique → sound → music. I introduce beginner-level songs that match their interests and reinforce the fundamentals we’ve built. We refine tone, rhythm, accuracy, and build consistent practice habits. I keep the energy positive and structured; we celebrate progress while continuing to raise the bar. By lesson ten, they’ve developed enough skill to feel like they’re actually playing, not just learning.
Lesson 2-3These lessons build rhythm, confidence, and control. I start introducing short drills that train coordination without overwhelming them. They begin to understand timing, how their fingers should move, and how practice actually works. Every exercise has a purpose and every small win gets acknowledged. By lesson three, they start to feel the instrument becoming familiar — like it’s something they can actually grow with.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I teach kids, I focus on making music fun, simple, and confidence-building. I use short, engaging activities that keep them moving and discovering new sounds at their own pace. I break concepts into small steps, celebrate every win, and make sure they feel proud of what they can play right away. My lessons for kids are creative, structured, and designed to help them develop focus, rhythm, and a genuine love for music.

Working with teenagersWhen I teach teenagers, I build lessons around their personality, goals, and the music they’re excited about. I keep the structure clear and supportive while giving them space to express themselves and build real independence on their instrument. We mix technique, songs they love, and practical skills that help them grow fast. My goal is to motivate them, challenge them, and help them develop discipline and confidence both in music and in themselves.

“If you’re still around in early 2026, my fiancé will be in Vegas for a month and he actually mentioned to me he has never taken a formal electric guitar lesson and was wondering if you would be willing to work with him for a session when he’s in town? Totally okay if that’s not something you will be available for! I would love for us to jam again :-) I know that everything you do, you will succeed at! I know for a fact God is always with you, it has always been evident from your words and your teaching and your playing.”
