Shannon is an excellent teacher! She’s classically trained which gives her a leg up when teaching her students any genre. She really engages her students and pushes them to improve. And she’s great at creating guitar communities with her students; she not only wants you to learn how to play but how to share the joy of music. I highly recommend her as a teacher!!

My son started his guitar journey with Shannon just shy of his 9th birthday. At the time he was her youngest student. We could not have asked for a better teacher to foster his love of music and interest in learning guitar. Shannon is such an amazing teacher and truly cares and invests in her students. My son really gravitated to Shannon and loved his time with her. Together they built a great foundation of classical theory and technique. He really thrived under her tutelage and continues to improve his skills that he built with Shannon. I can't recommend her enough!

Top ratings for guitar instructor Shannon Harrison. She is a master of her craft and can teach classical music notation as well as tab, classic music and popular pop & folk tunes. On top of all that, she is enthusiastic and engages with students of all ages, helping them expand their own knowledge of music and performance skills. We were lucky to have her as our teacher, my granddaughter and I.

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Shannon Harrison. I feel fortunate to have had her as my guitar instructor. Her commitment to ensure I continued to improve was prominent in her instruction. She created a step-by-step program specifically for me utilizing various learning techniques and providing instructional materials. I have been able to develop a unique playing style. Her knowledge of music theory as well as her strong communication skills has allowed me to succeed in my music expressions. Additionally, it has provided me opportunities to perform with other musicians and vocalists. To note, her personalized teaching methods and interpersonal skills made for a pleasurable learning experience.

As a first time guitar player I was always frustrated and confused about what was going on. I then started lessons with Mrs. Shannon and she made it such a comfortable environment and was always so supportive and encouraging when I got frustrated. She even pushed me to start singing and playing and could not have been more grateful to have such an awesome teacher!
