Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBegin by getting to know the player and the player to know me. Getting comfortable with the ball in the stick. Light passing drills and groundball movement. End with a fun, easy shooting drill.
Lesson 4-10Player should be comfortable with the game at this point. Move on to getting the ball up the field (practicing long throws). Assisting in scoring, and practicing 8-meter shots. Bringing all of the players’ skills out and practicing game-like situations.
Lesson 2-3More stickwork, passing, ground ball movement. Staying at a comfortable pace (depending on players’ skill level). Focus on getting the ball up the field with minimal passing.
Youth players
Working with teenagersMy teenage years is when I discovered that lacrosse was my passion and I wish that I had a personal mentor/coach to help me really bring out my skills.
What you need to bringStick, 2-3 balls, mouth guard, eyewear, cleats.
What I can bringlacrosse balls and cones. ENERGY!
