Your first lesson• Learn correct posture and hand position
• Identify piano keys (white keys, groups of 2 & 3 black keys)
• Learn finger numbers (1–5)
• Play a simple 5-finger exercise or short melody
Lesson 2-3• Introduce basic rhythm (quarter, half, whole notes)
• Learn the musical alphabet (A–G)
• Start reading simple notes (middle C position)
• Play very short beginner songs
Lesson 4-10• Strengthen note reading in both hands
• Introduce basic scales (C major 5-finger pattern)
• Learn simple chords
• Develop rhythm with hands together
• Play slightly longer beginner pieces
Lesson 11+• Expand note reading beyond middle C
• Introduce full C major scale
• Learn chord progressions and simple accompaniment patterns
• Improve coordination and musical expression
• Begin playing full beginner songs
