He also spent some time working on fast hand volleys with me.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLetβs hit the ball! I have to see how youβre able to hit the ball and to see the level of hand eye coordination and body control. If youβve never played a paddle sport we start with ball to ball; which will involve us learning first how to throw a ball in the right direction, then changing it from ball to paddle, where you get to start using your paddle and finally, paddle to paddle! We get your body used to how you will use the paddle first then we introduce it. If you have paddle or racquet experience we may start with ball to paddle!
I will also teach the rules of pickleball, the appropriate equipment, etc.
Lesson 11+Reinforcement! Letβs get you intermediate and maybe even beyond!
Lesson 4-10You as the student can impact these lessons! If there are particular things you want to learn let me know! Try and keep it within the scope of beginner play, but once we have a foundation of basic skills to work on you can pick specific areas you want to work on going forward, unless you want me to decide for you.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2 and 3 will focus on reinforcing basic aspects play, reinforcing lesson 1 while beginning to introduce drills for other aspects of play, like transition zone, non volley zone, serve and return. One focus per day!
