Dharshan was so kind and patient when teaching me the rules of the game plus his lessons are extremely affordable. I’ve been meaning to get into pickleball as all my friends play but I knew I would be terrible. I’m just 5 lessons alone I’ve improved immensely. From not even being able to hold a rally I can now rally almost 50 shots in a row. He also taught me the more technical aspects of the such as dinking and dropping. Would definitely recommend him to others.

He was very nice even though I didn’t even know the rules. He explained everything clearly and my skill has skyrocketed. His coaching has especially improved my two handed backhanded. Great coach hands down.

I can’t say enough good things about learning from Dharshan. He makes the game super approachable, even if you’ve never picked up a paddle before. He’s laid-back, encouraging, and somehow manages to correct your form without making you feel bad about it—which is a skill in itself! His sessions are the perfect mix of learning and fun. You walk away having improved, but also genuinely looking forward to the next time. Whether you’re brand new or trying to fine-tune your game, Dharshan is the guy to go to. Highly recommend!

I had such a great experience learning pickleball with Dharshan. He’s super friendly, patient, and really knows how to explain things in a way that just makes sense. I was a total beginner when I started, but thanks to his coaching, I’ve improved so much and feel way more confident on the court. What I really appreciated is that he keeps things fun while still helping you get better. Every session felt productive but never overwhelming. If you’re thinking about learning pickleball or just want to level up your game, I 100% recommend Dharshan. You won’t regret it!

How it works

Your first lesson1. Welcome & Warm-Up (10 minutes) • Introduce Yourself and the sport: Quick background on pickleball. • Dynamic Warm-Up: • Light jog around the court • Arm circles and wrist rolls • Side shuffles • Paddle taps (tapping ball with paddle to build hand-eye coordination) ⸻ 2. Court & Rules Overview (5 minutes) • Show the court layout: • Baseline, kitchen (non-volley zone), sidelines • Explain the basic rules: • Serve underhand crosscourt • Ball must bounce once on each side before volleys (double bounce rule) • No volleying in the kitchen • Games to 11, win by 2 ⸻ 3. Grip & Ready Position (5 minutes) • Introduce the “shake hands” grip • Demonstrate ready stance: knees bent, paddle in front, feet shoulder-width ⸻ 4. Forehand & Backhand Groundstrokes (15 minutes) • Drill: Drop-hit and swing • Player drops the ball and hits it over the net using forehand • Repeat for backhand • Partner Rally Practice • Start short, build distance • Focus on control over power ⸻ 5. Serving Basics (10 minutes) • Teach underhand serve mechanics: • Paddle below waist • Hit ball in upward motion • Must clear the net and land in opposite diagonal service box • Drill: Practice 5-10 serves each ⸻ 6. Kitchen Awareness (5 minutes) • Explain the non-volley zone (7 feet from net) • Practice stepping up to the line and stopping—“No volley in the kitchen!” ⸻ 7. Mini-Game (10 minutes) • Short rally game (half-court or full-court depending on comfort) • Play to 5 points • Encourage basic serve, return, and groundstrokes ⸻ Wrap-Up (5 minutes) • Review what was learned • Answer questions
