Beginner training plan
Your first lessonSimple. Work on no more than 2 main things. Depends on age but could be anywhere from hand eye coordination to immediately hitting.
Lesson 11+Being able to play games with non-coach groups, being able to continue a rally from baseline and net with minor challenges or more advanced shots.
Lesson 4-10Strides to solidify your game. Be able to play a full game.
Lesson 2-3Being able to see the jumps in advancement of what to do, met with some challenges of just needing repetition on current shots.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonStandard drills from each position for advanced players. Some live ball games. This is to gain insight into how best to help player.
Lesson 11+Advanced players need primarily reinforcement. Along with being able to see micro adjustments to best optimize your style, the player will have a built-in 5.0 hitting partner if he/she just needs to hit.
Lesson 4-10Continue to hash out weaker shots. Continue to do live ball games and drills in order to solidify shots. Add in new shots or different point setups if player has yet to experiment. The goal is to dimish weaknesses while adding in new variables while they play.
