About your pickleball coach
With five years of competitive pickleball under my belt, I made a smooth transition from tennis and quickly fell in love with, and became a student of, the game. As a past winner of the US Open singles gold medal in the 4.0 category and a national silver medalist in the 4.5 men's division, I've earned a strong reputation for my performance on the court. Beyond personal achievements, I find fulfillment in imparting my expertise and passion for pickleball to both novice enthusiasts and seasoned players alike, embodying a commitment to continuous learning and community growth.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI teach basic rules, terminology and scoring using live point play and simulated game situations.
Lesson 11+Playing points while deconstructing and analyzing your shot selection to maximize your win rate is the best approach to improving your DUPR rating.
Lesson 4-10Shot selection in different scenarios is one of the most important parts of the game. Learn the correct shot to hit when you are in some of the most common positions. Technique is also taught when students are eager to advance to the next level.
Lesson 2-3Learn simple strategies you can implement from the baseline, mid-court and kitchen to win more points.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonUnderstanding an experienced player's perceived strengths and weaknesses is an important starting point.
Lesson 11+Advanced strategies and techniques, including ATPs, Ernes, dinking positions, resets, and third-shot drops/drives.
Lesson 4-10Continue technical assessment, if necessary, but integrate with and focus on proper shot selection in various situations.
Lesson 2-3Assessing and potentially improving technique (eg. grip, footwork, stance, proper spin, etc) for specific shots, including the serve, return, third-shot drives and drops, volleys and dinks can facilitate the improvement process.
What you need to bringPlease bring water and a towel. It's best to wear tennis shoes, not running shoes.
What I can bringI have paddles and balls so students don't need to bring anything just dress to play. Running shoes are not ideal.
