With 30 years of experience as a concert performer, and 20 years of teaching, I bring expertise and passion to every lesson, creating a fun and encouraging environment for your musical journey. I specialize in classical, musical theater, and contemporary music (pop/rock/jazz) styles. I am certified in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method and trained in Voice Science Pedagogy. Everyone has the ability to sing, it just starts with a little knowledge and practice!

Your first lessonThe first lesson is super fun. First we go through a simple breakdown of how the body works to make sound and what functions of the body we use to coordinate for singing. Then we do some simple warm-ups and pick a song to practice.
Lesson 11+Same as above, depending on the student’s needs.
Lesson 4-10Lessons moving forward will vary depending on the student’s needs. But in general lessons consist of vocal warm-ups, technique work throughout the warm-ups, and then work on a song.
Lesson 2-3We’ll review the three main functions of singing, go through more vocal warm-ups, and start working on your song.
What you need to bringBinder for sheet music, and voice recording device (a smart phone works great).
What I can bringI provide music stand, piano, microphone (if necessary), computer, and sheet music.
