Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy name is Julissa and one of the most important things to start with is a warm up & getting comfortable running around with the ball. Feeling comfortable on a field of grass and jogging with a soccer ball in front of you. Getting a feel with the ball provides a sense of trust in the sport. Once the trust and safe space is there, it sets the foundation on how to manage playing the sport.
Lesson 11+We combine lessons 1-10 and run a team strategic training lesson, where we all come together and analyze where we can be better and improve our skill set. We practice shooting to goal. We practice throwing long balls for assists. We practice playing quick touches amongst each other making sure not just one person is shooting to goal or one side is played on. Practice switching the ball under high pressure on the field. Learning to pull a mark and quickly pass the ball to a teammate. Because ultimately we are building a skill to improve in and the end goal is not only to win but also become better at it for your own satisfaction.
Lesson 4-10Once the trust, the comfort and ball control is there, we start learning about soccer rules. What the game consists of. Answer FAQs and provide guidance by watching some soccer highlights in FIFA & find a way to implement in our training.
Lesson 2-3For this lesson we practice ball control. Lots of dribbling techniques and building obstacles to get a feel on how to navigate the ball with your feet and keeping it with you.
