Beginner training plan

Your first lesson1. Warm-Up (5 mins) • Light jog with the ball • Dynamic stretches + toe taps, foundations 2. Ball Control (10 mins) • Inside-outside touches • Pull-backs, sole rolls • Freeze & go (control + awareness) 3. Dribbling (10 mins) • Cone weave with both feet • Turns: inside, outside, pull turn 4. Passing (10 mins) • Pass back and forth (coach as partner) • Trap + pass accuracy challenge 5. Finishing Game (10–15 mins) • Shoot at cones or small goals • Coach gives moving passes for first-time finishes

How it works

Lesson 11+ • Reacting with the ball • Learning to stay composed under pressure • Gaining more of a soccer IQ • Practicing turns and positioning 🗓️ Plan: 1. Warm-Up (5 mins) • Ball tag with coach (light dribble while avoiding coach) • Quick feet & fast touches 2. Turning Out of Pressure (10 mins) • Pull-back turns • Inside and outside turns around cones or with light coach pressure 3. Passing Under Pressure (10 mins) • Receive with back to “defender” (coach), turn and pass • Coach closes space slightly to simulate pressure 4. Dribble & Shield (10 mins) • Dribble in tight space while coach pokes at the ball • Teach how to use body to protect ball 5. End Game (10–15 mins) • Mini 1v1 or gate challenge (player must dribble through 3 gates in under 1 min) • Score = control + speed
