Marcello is patient with our hard of hearing son. When we started, our son had zero soccer skills. With 1-2 practices a week and Marcellos approach to teaching skills, within a year our son is a capable soccer player. He improves by leaps and bounds every week.

I cant say enough good things about Coach Marcelo. The training sessions are well-organized, challenging, and incredibly fun. My son has been taking lessons from Marcello for last 3 years. On an average he takes minimum 5 weekly lessons in summer and minimum 5 in winter/early spring. We would love to take more but between club/school soccer practices and games it becomes difficult. My sons technique has improved tremendously. At a recent tryout for a premier club team, the coaches said that technically my son has all skills needed for his age group and that he is up there with the best players. I give full credit to Marcello for this. Now my son needs to work more on his fitness. Marcello met us at a gym and showed what equipment is best to avoid injuries and stay fit from soccer point of view. As a parent I very highly recommend Marcello as a coach!! We wish we could have started our son at a much earlier age with him.

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonEach player need to start a new program design specific to each individual. Example: We start with a little warm up depend on the level of the client. Light stretching 10 Minutes 10 Minutes run Light stretching depend on the client needs Drills and runs with ball design to each client accordingly with their level. I have a list of dribbling and skills we can work on it. After you master the moves will dribble opponents with easy.

Lesson 11+1. Warm-up (10–15 min) • Dynamic stretches: high knees, side steps, hip openers. • Ball mastery warm-up: quick touches, toe taps, sole rolls, juggling. • Reaction drills: coach calls a color/cone, players sprint & return with the ball. ⸻ 2. Ball Mastery & Dribbling (20–25 min) Focus on using both legs and building coordination. • Basic moves: inside/outside touches, sole drags, scissors, step-overs. • Directional dribbling: dribble forward then cut sharply left/right. • 1v1 moves (use Brazilian style): • Step-over → acceleration. • Body feint → change of direction. • Ronaldo chop, elastico, and double scissor. • Weak foot focus: every drill must be repeated with the weaker foot.

Lesson 4-10After you learn the dribbling skills, we’ll keep repeating them until they become second nature. Then, we’ll add shooting with spin and curve, practicing the right technique to score lots of goals while also improving your passing.

Youth players

Working with kidsWhen working with younger kids, we need to focus more on coordination and begin introducing dribbling. It’s especially important to encourage the use of both legs while adding basic moves, but keep it simple and avoid making things too complicated.

Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers, the focus should be on refining their skills and dribbling. It’s important to explain what happens when they choose one move over another, helping them understand the outcomes. Many already know how to run fast and use their physicality, but they may not fully understand the Brazilian style of dribbling. By this stage, most players already have their own style embedded in their game, so your role is to identify which moves work best for them while still improving their coordination and technique. Unlike younger players, who can be shaped and transformed much more easily, teenagers are already somewhat formed as players.
