Getting Comfortable With the Ball
Dribbling basics, passing intro, fun shooting, simple mini‑game.
1. Warm‑up & Ball Mastery (5–10 min) – faster pace, advanced combos.
2. Skill Drill (10 min) – 1–2 advanced moves chained together.
3. Passing Patterns (10 min) – one‑touch passing, overlaps, give‑and‑go.
4. Small‑Sided Tactics (10–15 min) – 2v2 or 3v2 game with constraints (e.g. must make 3 passes before scoring).
5. Finishing Under Pressure (10 min) – defender closes down quickly after first touch.
6. Scrimmage (10 min) – Encourage creativity and applying new skills.
Warm‑up (5 min) Dynamic stretches, ball touches.
Ball Mastery (10 min) Toe taps + V‑pulls, drag‑push, inside‑outside cuts.
Skill Move of the Day (10 min) Teach one new move each session (step‑over, scissors, drag‑back).
Passing/Receiving on the Move (10 min) Moving gates, give‑and‑go with cones.
Small‑Sided Drill (10 min) 1v1, then progress to 2v1 or 2v2.
Finishing Fun Drill (5–10 min) Timed shooting, target shooting, or penalty challenge.
Mini‑Game / Scrimmage (10 min) Focus on using the new skill in game play.

3. Passing (10 min) – “gate passing” (pass through cone gates at varying distances).
4. Receiving (5 min) – trap and control using inside/outside of foot.
5. Shooting (10 min) – focus on laces shot, aiming for corners.
6. Mini‑game (10 min) – 1v1 or “score in 5 seconds” challenge.
7. Recap (5 min) – praise improvements, give one easy drill to practice at home.
