About your surfing coach

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, my passion for surfing started 15 years ago. This journey, filled with overcoming challenges and pushing boundaries brought me a sense of community and a lot of joy. Ultimately I learned surfing was more than sport, it helped me connect deeper to myself and the ocean. With a background in Psychology and experience with diverse populations, my approach emphasizes not only ocean confidence training, technical surf skills, but how surfing positively impacts mental and emotional well-being. I believe in empowering individuals to reach their full potential in and out the surf.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonStarting off with the basics on land you will learn proper fundamentals on how to pop up, stay balanced and time the waves. Next we will go over paddling technique and practice. In this first lesson you will get the experience of riding the whitewater with my help and slowly build your independence.
Lesson 11+Once you are surfing the outside I will help you go from surfing with a coach to surfing independently with more control, flow and power in your surfing.
Lesson 4-10Once you can pop up routinely, paddle into your own waves and get through the waves you are ready to learn about surfing the green waves breaking farther out. You’ll use your foundations but you will also now learn the importance of surf etiquette, controlling your speed, and maneuvering right and left with greater control.
Lesson 2-3The next two lessons you can expect to increase your confidence by learning how to paddle out through the waves, refining your pop up and paddle if needed. Still in the whitewater, this the safest and most beginner friendly zone.
What you need to bringBring a small bag with towel, bathing suit, sunscreen, and water. Surfing is a very active experience so do what is best for your body concerning eating prior to your session.
What I can bringEquipment is additional $30 per person. I’ll need the height and weight for each participant to get the best board and wetsuit possible to ensure a great experienced.

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.
