Beginner training plan
Your first lessonStart off with a land lesson, going over parts of the board, where to place yourself on the board, paddling and popping up! Review ocean safety and surfing etiquette. Then get out in the water and catch some waves, usually whitewash to start off with while I stabilize the board to ensure a fun ride. Start pushing the individual into waves if he/she progresses to that level.
Lesson 11+With placement and paddling into the wave down, now the individual will learn how to turn the board to ride down the line - the first ultimate intermediate step to surfing!
Lesson 4-10Teach the individual placement and help them learn how to paddle into their own waves. Assist with the push in if still necessary!
Lesson 2-3Depending on where we left off, pushing the individual into whitewash or real green waves out in the lineup if the waves are small enough.
