I start by getting to know the player and making them feel comfortable. Then I teach a few simple basics like grip and positioning without overcomplicating it. I get them hitting balls quickly so they can feel success right away. By the end, they leave confident, having fun, and excited to keep improving.
Lessons 11+ are about refining and playing real tennis. I focus on consistency under pressure, shot selection, and building patterns (serve + first ball, rally control). We work on all shots—serve, return, volleys—while adding strategy and match play. By this stage, they can play full matches with confidence and understand how to compete.
Lessons 4–10 focus on building real consistency and control. I help them rally longer, improve footwork, and start directing the ball with intention. We introduce serves, returns, and simple point play so they understand how matches work. By the end, they can confidently rally, serve, and play basic points with good fundamentals.
Lessons 2–3 build on the basics while keeping things simple and fun. I focus on consistency—rallying more, improving contact, and introducing movement and footwork. I start adding basic technique for forehands, backhands, and serves without overwhelming them. By the end, they’re more confident, moving better, and able to rally and play points.
