When I started with Coach Andrew, I had almost no tennis experience—my swings were all over the place, I didn’t know how to hold the racket properly, and hitting the ball consistently seemed like a pipe dream. In just 14 weeks, Coach Andrew transformed me into a player who can rally confidently from the baseline, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the progress! Coach Andrew started with the basics, patiently teaching me the correct grip and swing mechanics. He broke everything down into simple, easy-to-follow steps, using clear demonstrations and fun drills to build my coordination. Early on, I struggled with timing and footwork, but his encouraging and positive approach kept me motivated. He introduced short-court rallies to boost my confidence, then gradually moved me to the baseline, always celebrating milestones like a solid forehand or a controlled backhand. By the end, I was rallying 6–8 shots consistently, mixing forehands and backhands with a rhythm I never imagined I’d have. Coach Andrew’s ability to make lessons engaging, tailored to my needs, and genuinely enjoyable was incredible. He knew exactly when to push me and when to keep things light, making every session a highlight of my week. Coach Andrew is a phenomenal coach, and I totally recommend him! When I first met coach Andrew, I had my doubts, but he showed the commitment and helped my daughter achieve the goals that she wanted. Coach Andrew is very patient and well self spoken person, He showed up to practice on time on the coordinated days and a lot of times, staying a little extra to support my daughter’s goals. Beginner training plan

Your first lessonObjective: Introduce basic tennis fundamentals and build comfort with the racket and ball. Warm-up: 5 minutes of light jogging and dynamic stretches (arm circles, leg swings). Grip and stance: Teach Eastern forehand grip and basic ready position (10 minutes). Ball control: Practice dropping and catching the ball with the racket (10 minutes). Feeding drills: Coach feeds balls by dropping them near the student to practice forehand swings, focusing on contact point (15 minutes). Cool-down: 5 minutes of stretching and review of key points Focus: Familiarity with equipment and basic swing motion.

How it works

Lesson 11+Objective: Master advanced techniques and match-play strategies. Warm-up: 10 minutes of dynamic drills (suicides, shadow swings) and stretches. Spin and placement: Drills for heavy topspin and slice shots, targeting specific court zones (15 minutes). Serve-and-volley: Practice serving followed by net approach and volley (15 minutes). Match play: Full points with focus on strategy (e.g., exploiting opponent weaknesses) (20 minutes). Lesson 2-3Objective: Develop consistent forehand and backhand swings and introduce rallying. Warm-up: 5 minutes of jogging, side shuffles, and stretches. Review grip and stance, introduce backhand grip (10 minutes). Forehand and backhand drills: Alternate coach-fed balls for forehand and backhand, emphasizing follow-through (15 minutes). Mini-rally: Student hits 3-5 consecutive shots with coach feeding (15 minutes). Cool-down: 5 minutes of stretching and discussing progress. Youth players

Working with kidsFor kids (ages 4-12), I use simplified instructions with basic terms like "hit" or "swing," employ smaller rackets and low-compression balls, and focus on short, fun games like "Hit the Cone" to teach skills while keeping engagement high.

Working with teenagersFor teenagers (ages 13-18), I introduce detailed mechanics such as topspin and grip changes, use standard equipment, and incorporate longer, structured drills like crosscourt rallies to build technical skills and competitive readiness.
