. The first lesson is focused on evaluating the playerโs athleticism, coordination, movement patterns, technique, and overall skill level. I like to see the player hit many balls early so I can identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas that need improvement. We will work on basic technique, footwork, consistency, and understanding the playerโs goals. The objective is to create a strong foundation and personalized development plan.
After the first 10 lessons, the focus shifts toward refining technique, improving accuracy, and maximizing strengths while continuing to develop weaker areas of the game. Training becomes more individualized based on the playerโs goals and playing style. Players can expect advanced tactical work, higher intensity drills, match play strategy, mental training, and continued development in movement, consistency, power, and confidence.
Fitness, agility, and competitive mentality are also emphasized. Usually after around 20 lessons, many of my clients are able to rally consistently between 7โ20 balls in a row depending on their athletic background, consistency, and practice outside of lessons. I have also helped complete beginners progress to a tournament-ready level within approximately 2โ3 months through structured training, technical development, footwork, and repetition-based practice.
During lessons 4โ10, training becomes more structured and performance focused. Players will begin working through more advanced drilling, live ball situations, directional control, tactical patterns, and match-specific scenarios. Sessions are designed to improve consistency under pressure while developing movement efficiency, shot selection, and overall court awareness.
