About your tennis coach
I coached youth tennis for about a year at Southern California Tennis Academy, working with players of different ages and skill levels. My coaching style is technical, patient, and focused on steady improvement. I enjoy breaking down strokes, footwork, and shot selection in a way that feels clear and useful. As a player, I played 4 years of varsity and a handful of junior tournaments, getting to a 7.3 UTR. Based on my skill level, I can best serve beginners to high intermediates.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEstablish the basics of grips, swing mechanics and footwork. This will primarily be done through hand feeding, as to develop confidence.
Lesson 4-10By this point, hopefully the student will have a decent grasp of the fundamentals, and can begin live ball of some sort. Likely involves rallying with me.
At the same time, we can start introducing serves. In my opinion, the most difficult thing for beginners to learn correctly.
Lesson 2-3Building on the first lessons, we will continue to work on the basics of groundstrokes, now incorporating some movement side to side while hitting.
