Beginner training plan
Your first lessonTeach proper grip and stance positions. Short rallying and feeding exercises.
Lesson 11+Continue mastering the forehand, backhand, serve, return and net game so that they can eventually have the ability to start match play while developing their mental and strategic mentality.
Lesson 4-10Continue introducing the serve and reinforcing the ground strokes so that they build more consistency and gain a level of control with their shots. Start to teach the basics of returning and volleying. Also emphasizing the mental and physical aspects of the game.
Lesson 2-3Review the basic grip and stance positions to reinforce the concepts and so the player builds some sort of muscle memory. Introduce the serve with the toss and motion.
