Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI always want to get to know the student for about 5 minutes or so(ex:why they got into tennis, do they want to play professionally, etc).
I like to start off usually with coordination examples and go over the first couple strokes of forehands and backgads
Lesson 11+Over time, I will start adding in strokes like the volley, overhead, serve and slice.
Lesson 4-10Once basics are covered, we'll start adding movement into each swing. You can't stand still in tennis.
Lesson 2-3I will continue to go over forehands and backhands because getting the basics down is key
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI want to personally see where they're at, because then that'll give me an understanding of what needs to be improved. I like to also warm up with the student and get to know them(ex: why tennis, do they want to continue tennis outside of lessons, etc)
Lesson 11+I like to be able to get consistent rallying done at this point. Working on this will really be able to help later.
Lesson 4-10This is where I like to work on approach shots with advanced students because everyone, including advanced students can benefit from approach shots. I want to see where volleys, overheads, slices and serves are at, because having a good serve technique is incredibly important.
