Beginner training plan

Your first lessonIntroduction to tennis: basic equipment, court dimensions and basic rules. Teach the grip, introduce the ready position and basic footwork. Practice simple hand-eye coordination drills.

Lesson 11+Advanced shots and match play.

Lesson 4-10Building on skills and game play with serve basics, rallying, and scoring and rules. Game situations, strategy and tactics, and fun games.

Lesson 2-3Fundamental skills development including forehand and backhand. Continue rallying to reinforce the skills.

I foster a positive environment with regular encouragement and celebrate small achievements, while tailoring instruction to meet individual needs. Additionally, I involve parents in the learning process to support practice and motivation outside of lessons.

Working with teenagersTo effectively adapt tennis lessons for teenagers, I foster independence by encouraging them to set personal goals and make choices about their practice. I use relatable language and incorporate technology, such as video analysis, to enhance their learning experience. I create competitive scenarios to motivate improvement and provide specific, constructive feedback to help refine their skills. Additionally, I address the mental aspects of the game, teaching them techniques to manage pressure and maintain focus.
