Your first lessonLearning about the anatomy of a trumpet and what a good “core sound” is. How to make sounds on the trumpet and practicing how to get a good buzz.
Lesson 11+Continued goal development with a 60/40 distribution of developing skills to working on music that the student enjoys and wants to play.
Lesson 4-10Continuing with a core sound focused mentality while learning scales, technique, and applying them to learning basic tunes. At this point I should have a better sense of the individual student, and my teaching will focus on their skills and goals.
Lesson 2-3Learning to hold notes out on the trumpet and what the notes are. Introducing reading music.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonDevelop an understanding of skill level, goals, and interests of the student. Listen to some of the students previously prepared music, and discuss what they want out of lessons and expectations from both the student and teacher.
Lesson 11+Personalized lessons working towards growth on the trumpet through assigned etudes, practice routines, characteristic studies, and solos as mediums for individual skill building.
