Bio: I have been playing pickleball for two and a half years and coaching pickleball for a year and a half. I have coached soccer and table tennis, and I have taught Brazilian Portuguese. Prior to pickleball, I played tournament level (1600) table tennis, rec tennis, and I played and coached competitive soccer and futsal. Sports have always been a part of my life, and pickleball is the most interesting, engaging and social sport I have ever played.
Now that I am deeply involved in the local pickleball community, playing recreationally and in local tournaments, coaching beginners and intermediate players, coaching the local high school team, I find that coaching enables me to give back.
Bio: I am a PPA and IPTPA certified coach specializing in beginner to intermediate pickleball instruction for adults and juniors.
With three years of coaching experience in Indiana, I recently relocated to Alexandria, Virginia, and am excited to help players in this area elevate their game.
My background includes over a decade of competitive play in USTA women’s tennis leagues, and I discovered my love for pickleball five years ago. Since then, I’ve been passionately playing nearly every day and am eager to share my skills and enthusiasm with others looking to improve their game.
Bio: I play pickleball for the love of the game — finding joy in every dimension it offers, from competition and fitness to connection and community. I’ve been immersed in the world of pickleball since 2021, developing my game to a 5.0+ level and coaching players across different skill levels and backgrounds.
As a certified pickleball coach, I have worked with various organizations and clubs, helping new and experienced players sharpen their skills, develop strategic thinking, and enjoy the game’s fast-growing culture. My coaching style blends fundamentals with the creative freedom that makes pickleball both accessible and endlessly fun.
By profession, I am an environmental scientist and international development expert with over 15 years of global experience in sustainability, climate resilience, and resource management. Off the court, I am a parent of three wonderful kids, and we call Annandale, VA our home — where pickleball has become part of our family’s rhythm of life.
I also write about pickleball, sports culture, and the deeper meaning of athletic pursuit. My recent publications on Medium explore the spirit of the game and the origins of greatness in sports:

For me, pickleball is not just a sport — it’s a movement, a mindset, and a growing community I’m grateful to be part of.
