Bio: A dedicated piano educator with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and a prestigious Fellowship in Piano Performance from Trinity London College. Currently, I serve as an after-school piano instructor at the French American International School and Pixical Piano, offering both in-person and remote instruction. Over my 16 years of teaching experience, I have crafted an innovative curriculum that seamlessly integrates music history, theory, and aural skills for approximately 40 students ranging from 4 to 65 years old. My teaching philosophy revolves around making learning fun, presenting new concepts creatively, and challenging students to think critically. I believe in cultivating a mindset and strategy for self-directed learning, inspiring students to become independent musicians and lifelong learners. My lessons emphasize the importance of taking things slow, setting periodic goals, and finding new angles to explore in each piece.
