With over 30 years of basketball experience and knowledge, my goal with each athlete is to maximize their potential by focusing on fundamentals to create efficient, effective, basketball players. Progression is the movement and 1% better everyday is the mantra. Let's hit the court and get to it!
Bio: With over 20 years of experience as both a player and coach, I specialize in developing young athletes through focused training in ball handling, conditioning, and overall basketball IQ. I work with players ranging from ages 6 through high school, helping them build a strong foundation, sharpen their skills, and grow their confidence on and off the court.
I played college basketball at Durham College and have further developed my training expertise through hands-on experience with Delson Training in New Jerseyβone of the top programs for elite player development.
My approach is simple: I love the game and I love helping kids get better. Iβm easygoing, positive, and passionateβbut I also push players to work hard, stay disciplined, and maximize their potential.
Whether your child is just starting out or aiming for the next level, my goal is to guide them through that journeyβstep by stepβwith energy, focus, and fun.

With over a decade of coaching experience, Coach Sims has dedicated her career to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Her coaching journey began at Marion P. Thomas Charter School, where she successfully launched and built the high school girls basketball program from the ground up, establishing a strong and competitive foundation.
After several successful seasons as head coach, she continued her impact in the sport by leading both Freshman and Junior Varsity teams over a three-year span, helping shape future varsity talent and maintaining a winning culture.
Coach Sims later returned to her alma mater, Columbia High School, where she served as the Junior Varsity coach and assisted with the Varsity program for three seasons. Most recently, she led her JV team to an impressive 14-3 record, reflecting her commitment to excellence, player development, and team cohesion.
Her coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that defense builds offense. She emphasizes hard work, consistency, and the importance of building basketball IQ, principles that have consistently translated to success on the court.
