Bio: I am a former collegiate and professional basketball player with a proven track record of leadership and performance. As a standout player and team captain at Elizabeth City State University in the CIAA, I led the conference in points per game during the 2014–2015 season and ranked #5 nationally in NCAA Division II scoring. Known for my dedication, work ethic, and leadership on and off the court, I served as both a team leader and mentor throughout my college career. Following graduation, I continued my basketball journey overseas, competing professionally with South Adelaide in Australia. These experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded athlete and mentor, passionate about developing the next generation of players through skill, discipline, and confidence. For three years, I served as the Middle School Basketball Coach at a public school in Guilford County, where I was responsible for leading all aspects of the boys’ and/or girls’ basketball program. I developed and executed structured practice plans that focused on fundamentals, conditioning, teamwork, and game strategy, while also preparing students for high school-level competition. I mentored student-athletes both on and off the court, promoting character, leadership, and academic accountability. My role as a coach included managing team operations such as coordinating tryouts, scheduling games, organizing transportation, and maintaining regular communication with parents, staff, and school administration. I collaborated closely with teachers and counselors to monitor academic performance and ensure that student-athletes met behavior and eligibility standards. Throughout each season, I emphasized the importance of discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth, fostering an inclusive and team-oriented environment where every player could thrive. My experience fosters player development through tailored coaching methods. I strive to create an engaging, supportive environment where athletes reach their full potential.
