Comment:As the pickleball community grows, the rec center will line more pickleball courts, if needed. Employees set up and take down nets. The one outside court is a lighted tennis court with pickleball lines.

Bio: I have been playing pickleball for two and a half years and coaching pickleball for a year and a half. I have coached soccer and table tennis, and I have taught Brazilian Portuguese. Prior to pickleball, I played tournament level (1600) table tennis, rec tennis, and I played and coached competitive soccer and futsal. Sports have always been a part of my life, and pickleball is the most interesting, engaging and social sport I have ever played.
Now that I am deeply involved in the local pickleball community, playing recreationally and in local tournaments, coaching beginners and intermediate players, coaching the local high school team, I find that coaching enables me to give back.
Bio: I am a PPA and IPTPA certified coach specializing in beginner to intermediate pickleball instruction for adults and juniors.
With three years of coaching experience in Indiana, I recently relocated to Alexandria, Virginia, and am excited to help players in this area elevate their game.
My background includes over a decade of competitive play in USTA womenβs tennis leagues, and I discovered my love for pickleball five years ago. Since then, Iβve been passionately playing nearly every day and am eager to share my skills and enthusiasm with others looking to improve their game.
