Welcome to Golf Lessons by coach Kollar, where passion meets precision. Mile Square Golf Club in Fountain Valley is my home course, where I’ll often be found, sharpening & working on my game. As a trained golf instructor, I specialize in offering a personalized swing and short game lesson in golf. Whether you're a beginner, eager to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game, or intermediate player aiming to refine your overall golfing ability, the lessons I implement are designed to enhance your overall golf game, while most importantly helping you to enjoy the time you spend practicing. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (unfortunately no longer in business), I studied the golf swing, psychology of golf, and complex teaching methods as well as golf game management. I also learned how to build and assemble golf clubs, as well as expanding my knowledge on the vast and complex rules of golf. During my 2 years at GAA, beyond my studies, I competed at a collegiate level, making the competitive Golf Team each semester I attended. I came to understand that there are no two identical golf swings. My job is to influence you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game, to help you enjoy golf more than you ever have!

During high school, I was a vital member of a CIF championship-winning team, demonstrating my dedication to excellence. Advancing to collegiate golf at Washington State University, I achieved two individual tournament wins and contributed to eight team victories, with my tenure marked by representing the university at the NCAA Championship and securing a national ranking of 15th, reflecting both my skill and perseverance. As an amateur golfer, I have competed in numerous major amateur golf championships, always seeking to challenge myself and refine my abilities. Currently, I have reentered the golf industry as a PGA Associate Qualifier and am working toward completion of my TPI Level 1 certification. Golf is more than a sport to me—it is a lifelong pursuit, and I am dedicated to supporting golfers of all ages and skill levels in reaching their goals, enjoying the sport, and maximizing their potential.

While I am taking this next year off to recover from to recover from elbow surgery I want to give back to the game of baseball and help the next generation of players achieve their dreams and aspirations.

About Me Like many ballplayers, I started young with tee ball but where I truly grew and refined my game was during my five years of college baseball. I pitched at Fullerton College for two years, then continued at Vanguard University (D2), and recently wrapped up a year as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Cal Baptist University (D1). Being part of multiple teams across different levels, I bring to the table a well-rounded perspective on the game. I’ve experienced a variety of coaching styles and systems, and I’ve taken the best from each to build an approach that works both as a player and now as a coach.
