As an accomplished, lifelong tennis player and competitor, I have coached the game since 1988. I am a former USPTA professional with an advanced degree in Psychology, focusing on sports competition. Additionally, I have spent over ten years in secondary and post-secondary academic education. This unique combination of training and experience has given me great insight into how humans learn and develop new skills at various stages of life. My innovative training methodology is designed to prevent the formation of bad habits and improper muscle memory during the crucial stroke acquisition phase. Recovering from a life-altering car crash and a host of sports injuries has given me a new perspective on life and coaching. After taking the time to understand my specific goals, he worked with me to develop personalized instructions that were tremendously helpful. He offered practical advice on how I could improve each specific shot – the serve, the groundstrokes, the volley, etc. and gave me clear directions on how I can practice on my own time beyond the lessons to incorporate those improvements. I have 30 years of experience on the golf course and often would be found on the course most of my young and later adolescent days. I worked at a golf course as a golf cart distributor, organized golf groups on the first tee, and was also part of a summer junior golf program from 2004-2009 as the putting instructor. I am currently working on getting my PGA certification as an instructor. I’ve given lessons to a number of friends, family members and some fellow golfers I met on the driving range.
