I am a lover of music and people. I was a late start musician so I have an understanding of the learning process first hand. I have always been musical but I jumped into intense collegiate music study in my 40’s. The study of music has enriched my life with more than just great songs. I’ve made amazing friends, been to cool places and connected with all ages. The tribe that’s drawn to make music are my favorite people and we dive down any lane of music you want. It’s all amazing and it just gets more fun as you go. I’m classically trained and bring good technique to all genres of music. I enjoying singing as well and feel hearing pitch and repeating it is an important skill even if your not a singer. Your heart, ear and sense of groove is of utmost importance. Reach out to me and let’s make some music.
"My son started his guitar journey with Shannon just shy of his 9th birthday. At the time he was her youngest student. We could not have asked for a better teacher to foster his love of music and interest in learning guitar. Shannon is such an amazing teacher and truly cares and invests in her students. My son really gravitated to Shannon and loved his time with her. Together they built a great foundation of classical theory and technique. He really thrived under her tutelage and continues to improve his skills that he built with Shannon. I can't recommend her enough!
