Starting playing golf at age of 18 at Spook Rock golf course. From there starting taking lessons at The Tuxedo Club where I worked for a friend and mentor Dave Carazo. In that time frame qualified for 2 Met Amateurs. That lead me to become a golf professional in that time frame spent 12 years in the Met PGA section and became a member of the PGA 2001. After that spent time in both Philly and New Jersey section where I currently reside. Recently I worked at Golf Galaxy of East Hanover as a golf instructor and club fitter for 5 plus years. Through my career I have taken lessons from Top 100 instructors such as Brad Redding, Mike Bender, Todd Sones and Stan Utley. Caddied at a club called Lost Tree Club where had the chance to play with tour players and caddie for Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman.

"My lesson with Emmy was quite informative, especially since he analyzed my faults and focused on the basics like paddle control, follow through, and stance. Still, I need to keep working on integrating these habits into my play, though. I am not happy that AI or your website just summarized my previous feedback and said I could clear it all or edit it. Well, I listed just about every individual task that Emmy helped me with and it was summarized out in his review. Don’t have the time to list it all again. Whatever. As my 5 stars stated, Emmy’s lesson was awesome for me.

With over 20 years of experience as both a player and coach, I specialize in developing young athletes through focused training in ball handling, conditioning, and overall basketball IQ. I work with players ranging from ages 6 through high school, helping them build a strong foundation, sharpen their skills, and grow their confidence on and off the court. I played college basketball at Durham College and have further developed my training expertise through hands-on experience with Delson Training in New Jersey—one of the top programs for elite player development. I’m easygoing, positive, and passionate—but I also push players to work hard, stay disciplined, and maximize their potential. Whether your child is just starting out or aiming for the next level, my goal is to guide them through that journey—step by step—with energy, focus, and fun.
"As a parent with 4 boys who are all passionate about basketball, I highly recommend giving Coach Marcus a chance. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. My youngest, who is 9 years old, enjoys working out with his brothers. Coach Marcus has a special talent for getting all the siblings to pay attention and learn. It's truly impressive how he can make them all listen and get along. I suggest trying him out before considering any other trainers.
