Golf is all about “muscle memory.” My first 10 years of golfing were based on my own swing, and I could not improve enough during that time. Then I met an instructor who tried to fix my “form” for next six months. Do you think I was fixed? Yes and no, because it actually took me almost two years after those lessons to truly adjust. Why 2 years? Because my muscles were stuck to the 10-years-old form and resisted not to get adjusted! Why do I share my experience? Because a beginner should start golfing with an instructor, regardless of the lesson fee. Whoever is certified can teach you how to perform a proper golf swing. The only thing you need to do afterward is repetition on your own at the range. The more you practice, the faster your muscles memorize the movement. Of course, you are not a tour pro, but you still need to hit as many balls as possible for your muscles to memorize the movement.
