A DC area native, I was initially introduced to music, though somewhat reluctantly, through enrollment in the church choir at the age of four; however, I quickly grew to love it. I first experienced the guitar while living in Hong Kong when my third-grade teacher would play for them everyday at the end of school. I began taking lessons while living in Hong Kong and continued when I moved back to Washington DC. I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years and teaching for over 15. While my foundation is deeply rooted in the classical tradition, I enjoy teaching a variety of styles. My passion is to empower others to find their voice through the guitar, no matter their level of experience.

A seasoned musician with a musical journey spanning over 15 years. My passion for guitar and live performance has taken me across the stages of Washington, DC, and beyond, including memorable tours nationally and internationally. I'm a proud alumnus of both the Musicians Institute and Berklee College of Music, where I fine-tuned my skills and deepened my love for the art of music. My commitment to nurturing musical talent led me to a fulfilling seven-year tenure at the prestigious School of Rock from 2013 to 2020, where I had the honor of mentoring aspiring musicians. Now, I'm excited to share my expertise with you! Whether you're a budding guitarist or seeking guidance on your musical journey, join me as we unlock the full potential of your musical prowess. Let's make every chord strummed, and every note play a step towards your musical excellence!

I'm a seasoned guitarist with over seven years of experience, honing my skills at James Madison University. I enjoyed gracing the stage with the school jazz band and other musical groups. During high school, I was the top-ranked junior golfer in Colorado, winning the 2019 Colorado State Junior Championship and earning Colorado Player of the Year honors. Originally awarded a full golf scholarship to Northwestern University, I later transferred to Georgetown University, where I completed my final year of eligibility while preparing to turn professional. Today, I work full time in finance but remain dedicated to the game through teaching and mentoring players of all ages. Previously, I served as a coach and instructor with the First Tee of Denver, leading fundraising efforts that raised over $42,000 between 2019 and 2020.
