Game Application – Give them a chance to apply it in small-sided games. 3. Confidence Building – Make sure every kid experiences a “win” moment. These goals help kids fall in love with the game. I adjust the intensity and language to match their level, keeping everything simple and easy to understand. I also modify the time structure because youth players (ages 7–12) learn best in short, focused bursts. Above all, I emphasize movement, confidence, and fun—the essentials for keeping young athletes engaged and growing.
