I’m a professional golfer currently competing at a high level, with a +5 handicap and a collegiate background from UCSB. I’ve spent the past five years teaching golfers of all skill levels, helping them build confidence, consistency, and a deeper understanding of the game. •About me (golf) My name is Noel Sims. I am a professional golfer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I am 27-years old and have been playing the game since I could walk. I have been competing in golf tournaments from ages 3-current and have played in some elite events as a junior golfer, amateur golfer and professional golfer. While finishing my junior career, I was ranked the #1 African-American in the nation and top 240 in the world on the JGS rankings. I played 1-year at South Mountain Community College where I was apart of a NJCAA National Championship team in 2016 and finished my collegiate career at Alabama State from years 2017-2021 (redshirt year at SMCC and a Covid-19 year at ASU). I was a consistent starting at both programs and have a lot experience of playing different styles of golf. I turned professional in 2021 and have made 2/2 cuts at the 2021 Outlaw Tour Wigwam Red Classic and the 2023 Arizona Open (haven’t played much professional due to finishing my Master’s Degree while also working after my collegiate career). • About me (education) I have an extensive passion for helping others reach their true potential. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion for others goes farther than just helping others in a room, but also outdoors! I find enjoyment in seeing others progress and passing my knowledge to others when it comes to golf and also recommendations with life.

For a little over 30 years I’ve been a PGA instructor and successfully helped golfers from beginners to touring professionals hone their golfing skills. My experience of playing at all levels including the PGA Tour coupled with my teaching background enable me to connect with all levels of golfers. I teach at Papago golf course which is also the home Arizona State University golf teams. Papago Opened in September of 1963 and Hosted the 1971 USGA Public Links Championship with my father Arch as the first Head Professional. Watching him teach as I was growing up gave me the fundamentals for teaching philosophy that has carried with me throughout my entire career. I specialize in Private one-on-one lessons covering the entire spectrum of the game, but also will do group lessons and clinics for the short game only. In the 22 years of my golf career, I was able to win 2 collegiate events while representing the UCLA Golf Team (Setting the UCLA record at Chambers Bay (Shooting 62) and winning one event as a professional golfer in 2021. Now, I play as +5 handicap on the course! I am currently teaching any golfers all the way from beginners to scratch golfers. I was once a beginner when I was young starting out and I also was in a stage of shooting in 80s consistently and had to learn how to break the ice to shoot under par. I would love to share this crazy golf journey with you and help you get to whatever goals you set for the year! "Whether you are brand new to golf, someone who is actively looking to lower your handicap, or maybe someone who is stuck in a rut mentally, Heath will meet you where you’re at. He’s got a knack for identifying solutions, and communicating effectively no matter who he’s working with. Heath helped me go from a 20+ handicap down to a 12. A few months ago, I hit a mental hurdle and had two of the worst rounds Ive had in years. Thinking I forgot how to play, I reached out to Heath for advice. Not only did he give me some sound advice/drills to focus on when at the range, but he helped me restore confidence in myself for the next time I hit the course. I came out the next round and bounced back with a low 80’s score at one of the hardest courses I’ve ever played. This is what Heath does.
