Let's groove! I have been performing as a bassist for over 18 years, and teaching for over ten years. As an instructor, I meet students where they are and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. Lessons are collaborative; I want to get to know each student and your individual goals and learning style in order to create an open and comfortable learning environment. My extensive musical background allows you to choose music YOU like to play, and through each song we will work on specific technical, harmonic, and rhythmic concepts. I use my experience as an active working musician to inform the lessons and ground everything you learn in real-world application. About me: I tour the US and internationally with Future Teens, an indie rock band with over three LPs on our resume. Future Teens has been featured on NPR, The Boston Globe, and WBUR, and was Boston Music Awards’ 2019 Alt/Indie Artist of the Year. I studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where I earned the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. I have a BA in English and French from Skidmore College (‘13). I have worked with students between the ages of six and sixty and welcome students of all ages.

My journey as a professional musician ignited my passion for teaching guitar. For 25 years, I've guided aspiring guitarists, sharing my knowledge and experience to help them reach their full potential. Some of my students have gone on to be professional working musicians and landed gigs with Ziggy Marley, Gwen Stefani and many more. I will help you unlock your musical intution/creativity and give you creative ways to practice and learn songs , solos etc . I will also teach you ways to track your progress. I believe playing and learning music should be fun, and I make it easier on you to understand certain concepts from a technical, theoretical and practical point of view. I accept beginner to advanced. I can tailor lessons to your needs , the style you want to play, and I can create assignments to help you reach your goals from a professional working musician's perspective. I also have theatrical show experience with numerous plays and with Cirque Du Soliel's 'Totem' , ' Corteo' and 'Zarkana'. All these experiences have contributed to the variety of styles in my arsenal that I play and teach.
